EYFS Curriculum

Personal, Social & Emotional Development

Personal, Social and Emotional Development is recognised as one of the building blocks of success in life.

It supports children’s development by helping them to interact effectively and develop positive attitudes to themselves and others.

Communication and Language

All of us are social beings and are ready for communicating right from birth. From the first moments after birth babies prefer their mother’s voice above all others.

Communicating seems to be an in-built drive and the ways in which we communicate rely as much on non-verbal means as on spoken communication

Physical Development

Physical development is about how young children gain control of their bodies. They learn to use equipment and materials successfully and safely.

Being literate is essential in almost every aspect of adult life. Literacy is often thought of as the ability to read and write but it also includes being able to speak and listen.

There's more to maths than counting! We all use maths skills in our daily lives. Children get in ease with numbers, shapes, space and measures.

Understanding the World

Understanding of the World is about how children get to know about other people, the place where they live and about all aspects of the environment.

Expressive Arts and Design

Helping children to be creative is about encouraging attitudes of curiosity and questioning. Children notice everything and closely observe the most ordinary things.
